Questions to ask before you hire
- Is your license active, and in this company's name? Check it yourself on the state licensing board's site.
- Who pulls the permit, and is it in the price? It should be the business, and it should be in writing.
- What is the payment schedule? Payments should follow stages of work, not a large deposit up front.
- What does the warranty cover, and for how long? Ask for the terms in writing.
