About BestOfLocal
We rank local businesses with one published formula and show every number behind every score, so you can check our work instead of taking our word for it.
What we do
Data you can check
Each Local Score combines five measures from public review platforms and business records: rating, number of reviews, how recent they are, years in business and how complete the public details are. The weights are fixed and published on our methodology page.
How we stay independent
Businesses can pay for profile tools and quote requests, but never for a score or a position. Paying customers are labelled. How we make money.
