How claiming works
- Find your profile by business name and city. If you're not listed, tell us and we'll check your business against public records.
- Verify ownership with a code sent to the phone number on your listing, or a license or registration document in your name.
- Check your data: every number in your score, with its source and date. Flag anything wrong.
- Confirm your services and jobs so you're considered for the right trade and job rankings.

Businesses can pay us for a claimed profile, leads or competitor reports. None of it touches the score or the order. If a business is a paying customer, its data profile says so. How we make money
Questions from business owners
Does claiming or paying change my Local Score?
No. The score is computed from the same public data with the same formula whether a profile is claimed, paid for or neither. Paying customers are labelled on their profile.
My rating is higher than my competitor's, so why do I rank lower?
Rating is 30% of the score. Review volume, recent reviews, years in business and profile data make up the rest. Your claimed profile shows each measure and the points it adds, so you can see exactly where the gap is.
How quickly does a correction show in my score?
We check the source within five working days. An accepted correction updates your profile, and the ranking picks it up at the next scheduled recalculation. Every change is logged.
Will I know when my rank moves?
Yes. A claimed profile gets an email when your position changes in any ranking you appear in, with the measures that moved.
